Yacht-club chef Simon Ganache will represent Monaco at the World Pâté-croûte Championships

Simon Ganache has won a qualifying competition for the World Pâté-croûte Championships. The Yacht-club chef will go to Lyon in December to fly the flag for Monaco.

In the Principality, paté-croûte is a very serious matter. So much so that a pre-selection competition is being organized there counting towards... the World Pâté-croûte Championships.

On Tuesday, October 9, 10 chefs* working in Monaco gathered at One Monte-Carlo to anonymously present their creations to the 11 members of the jury. The jury was composed of Prince Albert II and Princess Caroline, as well as great chefs such as Christian Garcia of the Prince's Palace, Jacques Maximin, Christophe Cussac and chef Victoria Vallenilla, to name but a few.
Competitors and guests selected with care paraded solemnly through the wide aisles of One, before waiting several hours for some to see the result, and settling down comfortably for others to taste the concocted wonders.

11 members of the jury participated in this pre-selection.
