How Monaco is pursuing its commitment to more sustainable tourism
Known for its palaces, yachts, and Grand Prix, the Principality strives to reconcile luxury and responsibility. Since 2021, the country has been working on a sustainable tourism initiative.
The Principality no longer seeks to seduce visitors solely with its splendor. The country is now also focusing on a more discreet approach: responsible tourism. "It is a reasoned approach that places the protection and preservation of resources at its heart, taking into account the social and societal aspects," explains the Prince's government.
The objective: to reduce the negative impact while maximizing the positive benefits. A definition that goes beyond the purely ecological aspect to include the social dimension, from disability to accessibility.
