Monegasque elected representatives approve the State budget for 2023, but expect more in terms of quality of life
At the end of sometimes tense debates on the question of housing and mobility, the 2023 budget was voted by a majority. Seven elected members voted against, expecting more from the government.
The injunction came back like a refrain throughout the three evenings of debates that animated the examination of the 2023 budget: the time for projection has come, especially on the issues of mobility and housing for Monegasques. Two priority issues on which the elected representatives did not spare the government.
This Thursday evening was no exception. "The need for anticipation is increasingly strong because the world is moving faster and faster. To anticipate, you have to decide. And I say to you again this evening, Mr Minister, it is now that we must decide to undertake the major projects of tomorrow. The time for studies is over", Brigitte Boccone-Pagès, President of the National Council, firmly repeated to the Minister of State, Pierre Dartout.
