...begins in Monaco and will cause traffic disruptions around Port Hercule

Holding the three motorsport events in April, May, and June this year requires an early start to the major undertaking of transforming part of the Principality into a racetrack… at the expense of those using the port area.

Every other year, Monaco now hosts three motorsport events on its spring calendar. This will be the case in 2026 with the 15th Monaco Historic Grand Prix, from April 24 to 26, the Monaco E-Prix scheduled for May 16 and 17, and the 83rd Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix of Monaco, moved for the first time this year to a later date, from June 4 to 7.

This dense and fragmented calendar necessitates early road modifications to begin transforming part of the city into a racetrack. And the major changes will be visible starting this Monday, February 23, when a one-way traffic system will be implemented on Route de la Piscine.

On the Quai des États-Unis side, also starting this Monday, a one-way traffic system will be implemented between the intersections with Route de la Piscine and Avenue J.F. Kennedy, until July 5.

Quai Albert Ier closed until mid-July

On Quai Albert Ier, which houses all the management structures and stands, traffic will also be closed to the public from February 23 until July 17.
