In New York on Wednesday evening, Prince Albert II of Monaco awarded the American actor at a gala marking the 40th anniversary of the Princess Grace Foundation in the United States.

In the mid-1950s, Grace Kelly and Kirk Douglas were two movie stars in an all-powerful Hollywood. The hero of The Bewitched and the actress muse of Alfred Hitchcock were friends and each left their mark, in their own style, on the history of the 7th art. Seven decades later, their respective sons met again on Wednesday evening on the stage of the ballroom of the Pierre Hotel in New York, where the annual gala of the Princess Grace Foundation was held, marking the fortieth anniversary of the institution.
