Monegasques expected to gather with the Princely Family this Saturday at Princess Antoinette Park for the "Cavagnëtu"
The town hall is organizing the ever-present picnic at Princess Antoinette Park on Saturday, September 6th, which will bring together the nationals around the Princely Family, with, once again this year, a grand ball starting at 8:30 p.m.
For a good cause, Princess Antoinette Park is closed to the public until September 10th. Behind the gates, work is well underway to develop the Principality's largest park, which will be—as every year—the setting for the traditional Monegasque picnic this Saturday.
The Cavagnëtu event, founded in 1931, remains perhaps one of the most popular and relaxed on the Monegasque calendar, bringing together the nationals around the Princely Family to enjoy some traditional dishes in a friendly atmosphere. Last year, 900 people took part despite unpredictable weather. But this Saturday, the weather shouldn't be a problem.
