How the Vatican Envisions Pope Leo XIV's Visit to the Principality
Monaco Represents a European Reality Where Dialogue Between Civil Institutions and the Church Remains of Concrete Importance
Pope Leo XIV has accepted Prince Albert II's invitation for an apostolic visit to Monaco on March 28, a visit that will mark the country's history and, for the Vatican, will provide an opportunity to honor a European country where Catholicism remains the state religion.
Announced by the Prince's Palace of Monaco on February 25, Pope Leo XIV's visit to the Principality on March 28 was subsequently confirmed by the Vatican Press Office, revealing three trips the pontiff will undertake this spring: to Spain, the African continent, and Monaco.
