"Please do not film or photograph hotel and casino guests. Any offender will be subject to sanctions." In July, these signs appeared around the Monte-Carlo Casino Square and the Hôtel de Paris.

While the rule remained universal in this Société des Bains de Mer territory—where the sacrosanct confidentiality desired for guests is difficult to reconcile with the site's frequentation—it had never been the subject of such explicit communication.
