Charles Leclerc (MC) on the podium at the Mexican Grand Prix

The Ferrari driver started from pole position and finished third in the Mexican Grand Prix on Sunday evening, behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. It was Charles Leclerc's fourth podium finish of the season. Officially crowned at the beginning of October, the insatiable three-time Dutch world champion added a 16th victory to his 2023 season.
The 51st of his career.

It was his fourth pole position this year. But Charles Leclerc's race did not start as he had hoped. Perez, placed on the outside in the first corner, collided with the Monegasque and had to retire in the aftermath, on home turf.

With his front wing damaged, Leclerc remained in second place before taking advantage of Verstappen's pit stop to take the lead on the 20th lap of the race. Magnussen was in the wall, and the red flag was waved on lap 35 when Verstappen had just taken the lead.
He never relinquished the lead again on a restart that proved fatal for Charles Leclerc, who fell victim to the hard rubber and was overtaken by Hamilton on lap 40.
