Crowds, records, and excitement in Monaco for the Monaco Run Gramaglia 2026
On Sunday, February 15, the Monaco Run Gramaglia concluded its 16th edition with a record-breaking day in terms of participation and performance. With over 4,500 runners over the weekend, the event confirms its status and sets its sights even higher.
During the weekend of February 14 and 15, the Principality pulsed with the energy of running, thanks to the 16th edition of the Monaco Run Gramaglia. This event has become a must-attend on the Monegasque sporting calendar. Nearly 4,500 participants, across all races, took to the varied courses, illustrating the growing appeal of the event.
After a Saturday dedicated to children and trail running, Sunday began with an elite women's race at 8:40 a.m., specially organized for Faith Kipyegon, three-time Olympic champion and world record holder in the 1,500m, who was participating in her first road race. This initiative allowed the Kenyan star to discover the flat and fast 10km course while benefiting from optimal conditions, before the start of the 1,700 runners in the main race.
The day continued with the official 10km and then the 5km, the main event of the morning. "The day's results are fantastic. The weather was kind and the turnout incredible. Seeing the sheer number of runners setting off and the smiles on every face is a sign that the event was a complete success," said Frédéric Choquard, Director General of the Monegasque Athletics Federation.
