Excitement in Formula 1! Prince Albert plans to change the Grand Prix of Monaco. A land extension is supposed to make that possible now.

Any Formula One driver can memorize the track while he sleeps, and millions of fans on the Playstation can blindfold the Monaco Grand Prix. That could change soon, because there are plans that the course should be drastically changed.

Prince Albert II makes the F1 world stand up, the classic Grand Prix of Monaco in its current form could soon be a thing of the past. According to a report by Forbes, it is planned to realize a land extension over the sea in Monaco, where the route could also lead along.

For more tension

"I'm not saying it's bound to happen that way, but eventually we'll put our heads together and wonder how we can improve something and get more suspense as we change the layout," says the prince.

The project should cost around two billion euros and be completed by 2025. Then the track could be re-run. Incidentally, this is not the first change; in the 1970s, the swimming pool and the port were adapted; in 2015, the tobacco curve and the roadway at the swimming pool were slightly offset.
