This Friday, the EUROPA 2025 stamp was issued on the theme of national archaeological discoveries.

"EUROPA stamps have existed since 1956 and are among the most collected and popular in the world," begins Lara Terlizzi-Enza, Director of the Stamp Issuing Office. Each year, they are issued by some sixty countries on the Old Continent on a common theme. And this year, it focused on national archaeological discoveries.

PostEurop, the association of European postal operators, defines and organizes the competition. "The Principality already won the competition in 2003 and ranked second in 2024." A stamp to tell 250,000 years of history

This year, given the theme, the preparatory work for the creation of the Monegasque stamp was carried out in close collaboration with the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology.
