Monaco's Christmas Village pays tribute to Prince Rainier III from 7 December

Following in the footsteps of Prince Albert 1st, this year's Christmas Village will pay tribute to Prince Rainier III. In this year of commemorations, several decorations will reflect his many passions.

After the adventurous spirit of Prince Albert 1st last year, another prince will be at the heart of the 2023 Christmas Village. The Village will be open from Thursday 7 December to Sunday 7 January 2024, every day from 11am. And in this year of commemoration of the centenary of Prince Rainier III, Monaco Town Hall and the Prince Rainier III Commemoration Committee have planned a very special edition.
24 chalets and 800 Christmas trees

A number of decorations in tribute to Prince Rainier III and his many passions will be displayed on Quai Albert-Ier," announced the Town Hall.
The decorations will focus on the arts, motor sport, animals and the sea. "The resulting promenade will allow visitors to (re)immerse themselves in the Prince's daily life through animated scenes decorated with old photos of the Prince Builder."
And that's not all: each entrance to the village will be suitably decorated. "Three large arches several metres high will welcome the public at the various entrances to the Christmas village, representing Prince Rainier III's love of sports, the circus and sailing."
