celebrates 50 years of glamour and music in Monaco

Inaugurated in June 1974 and renovated in 1999, this legendary complex owned by the Société des Bains de Mer de Monaco has been the venue for the Principality's galas, balls, concerts and parties for five decades. Looking back

The list of world-famous stars who have graced the legendary Salle des Étoiles is so endless that it makes you dizzy. Frank Sinatra, Tina Turner, Claude François, Johnny Hallyday, Céline Dion, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Elton John... That's just to name a few from the more or less distant past.

This year, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Monte-Carlo Sporting Club has welcomed other big names into its fold: Sam Smith, Lenny Kravitz and the group Jamiroquai.

Over five decades of galas and balls - including the iconic Monegasque Red Cross and Rose balls - summer festivals and parties in the Principality, this complex built on the artificial Larvotto peninsula has established itself as a mecca for the Principality's festive and nightlife scene. Sometimes chic in a seated configuration, sometimes crazy with a wild pit.
