...completely modernised in Monaco

This Saturday morning, alongside the famous Italian architect Renzo Piano, Prince Albert II inaugurated the Larvotto beach complex, which has been completely restructured and modernised after nearly two years of work. Before the opening to visitors, we visited the site. A short tour of the site.

A completely remodelled coastline. A new face to the east of the Principality of Monaco. Evoked in 2017 and initiated in October 2019, the restructuring of the Larvotto seaside complex has been completed as the summer season is just beginning.

This Saturday morning, Prince Albert II inaugurated the premises alongside numerous officials from the country and, of course, Renzo Piano and Michel Desvigne. The former designed the overall architecture of the project, the latter sketched out the landscaping of the seaside site.

"This new Larvotto is a place of life, a link between the future MareTerra and Testimonio districts. Life has been created on the spot with, among other things, historic traders, the sea academy and a one kilometre cycle path", introduces Jean-Luc Puyo, Director of Urban Development in Monaco.
