How the Giaume/Chamot-Drappier residences became an Ehpad

It took four full years to radically transform the Giaume/Chamot-Drappier residences.

From 2019 to 2023, the building was stripped down, leaving only its load-bearing walls, to become a semi-medical establishment.

It all started with the observation that there was a lack of places for people losing their independence in Monaco," explains Jérôme Breton, Chairman of the Hector Otto Foundation.

Until the end of 2018, the Foundation managed two facilities, including this one, which offered the same hotel residence services for independent people aged between 60 and 85.
