Marc Mourou and Generation Monaco will indeed be candidates in Monaco's 2028 national elections

One year after launching the political movement he leads, former National Councillor Marc Mourou has announced his candidacy for the 2028 national elections.

His candidacy for the 2028 national elections was hardly in doubt.

Since February 3, 2025, the day he launched the "Generation Monaco" political movement, Marc Mourou has held numerous evening conferences to allow Monegasques and experts to discuss various topics (health, attractiveness, education, sports, and culture). The only remaining question was when the announcement would be made, even though the election is still a long way off (2028).

The steering committee is composed of about thirty Monegasques, and the executive board consists of seven, including four former members of the National Council. The next discussion will take place in two months and will focus on the environment.

The newly formed political movement Génération Monaco dedicated its first evening conference to health.

In parallel, Génération Monaco launched a new format at the end of November – working groups – which its president describes as "behind-the-scenes work" involving "substantive analysis, observations, and brainstorming."
