In a public session at the National Council on Tuesday evening, Minister of State Pierre Dartout announced that the Monegasque government is granting financial support of four million euros for the affected areas of the hinterland.

"One million euros to each affected French valley, as well as to Ventimiglia and the Italian part of Roya, specified the Minister of State. These sums will thus make it possible to come to the aid of people in distress, but also to to help rebuild and secure structures damaged or destroyed during this terrible disaster which deeply affected the entire national community ".

Prince Albert II had already expressed his desire to participate in the collective effort to help the valleys of the Alpes-Maritimes and Italy ravaged by storm Alex on Monday.
