The challenge of protecting personal data

Three months after the validation of a bill on the protection of personal data, the JCE of Monaco organized a conference this Wednesday to inform and assess the situation in the city-state.

This is a hot topic. It has been almost three months since the National Council voted to validate bill No. 1054 on the protection of personal data in the Principality. Aligning the latter with European standards.

During a conference attended by Agnès Lepaulmier, Secretary General of the Personal Data Protection Authority (APDP), and Marion Soler, President of the Data Protection Club, the Young Economic Chamber of Monaco (JCEM) proposed this Wednesday to take a moment to consider this constantly changing issue.

A problem whose growing role of digital technology only reinforces the need to legislate and communicate.
