The Carabinieri's 65th birthday present to Prince Albert II
Prince Albert II appeared on the balcony of the Princely Palace with his children Hereditary Prince James and Princess Gabriella on Tuesday, his 65th birthday. The Carabinieri Orchestra prepared a surprise and played the tune "Happy Birthday" to surprised tourists.
At 11.55am on Tuesday 14 March, as the changing of the guard began, the tourists massed in the Palace Square were given a nice surprise.
Prince Albert II appeared at the window alongside his children, Hereditary Prince James and Princess Gabriella.
65 years in music
At the end of the protocol, the musicians of the Carabinieri Orchestra wished the 65-year-old monarch a "happy birthday" with music.
The latter greeted this nice attention with a smile and a wave of the hand.
A moment appreciated by the visitors to the Principality, including this group who did not hesitate to sing a song for the Prince and... their friend who was also celebrating her birthday.
