Princess Charlene and the Princely Twins Inaugurate the Christmas Village in Monaco

Princess Charlene and her children officially kicked off the festivities last night on Port Hercule. The public is expected until January 5th for a gourmet Christmas.

The most curious among you have probably smelled the first whiffs of churros and other delicacies. Since this Friday evening and the inauguration by Princess Charlene, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, the Christmas village has officially opened its doors. On the theme of "Gingerbread and delicacies", it welcomes the public until January 5th. Until then, visitors will be able to stroll around and enjoy the 21 food stands and 24 sales chalets.

Among them, Monac' Thaï, a stand dedicated to Thai cuisine which is making its comeback after a year's absence. "We were there in 2022 because we felt that the Christmas village was missing an Asian touch," says Romain, the stand manager. On the menu, the traditional Pad Thai and other specialties concocted by a Thai chef and a whole team who were impatient to open. "We've been here for almost a week preparing and setting everything up, so we're delighted to open! We hope the weather will be kind to us."

Another new feature this year on Quai Albert-1er is a fun trail that promises surprises for those who dare to venture there. Lovers of gentle sensations will be able to treat themselves to a ride on the Ferris wheel or the Christmas tree carousel. Others will have the opportunity to enjoy the carousel, the toboggan slide, Santa's sleighs and the Christmas carousel for the youngest.

As for entertainment, stage shows in the afternoon and musical evenings are planned throughout the village's opening hours. Fun and creative workshops will take place in the chalet reserved for entertainment on weekends and every day during school holidays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Finally, note that Santa Claus will come to meet the public on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 December from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
