The Princely Family Brings the Magic of Christmas to Casino Square in Monaco

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, accompanied by their children, officially launched the holiday season in Casino Square with a light show set to Christmas melodies.

The lighting ceremony in Casino Square has become a must-see event for Monegasques and visitors alike. On Saturday evening, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, along with their children, were welcomed to the iconic square by Stéphane Valeri, Chairman of the Société des Bains de Mer de Monaco, Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, and his wife, for the ceremony. In just a few seconds, the Princely Family brought to life a truly magical display of lights.

First, the monumental Christmas tree lit up with its 6,000 tiny lights, followed by the five giant snow globes. These now adorn Casino Square, designed like music boxes around the theme "The Magic of Christmas in Monte-Carlo": The Enchanted Ballet, The Christmas Choir, The Reindeer's Tea Party, The Christmas Sky, and Midnight. Five vignettes, each depicting one of the five globes, tell the adventures of five little reindeer: Snowflake, Rose, Hercules, Stella, and Rudolph, Santa's faithful friend.

Join us for the "Reindeer Show"

Children and adults alike are invited to experience the magic of Christmas in Casino Square until January 6, 2026. The "Reindeer Show," a spectacular display of sound and light, is projected onto the façade of the Monte-Carlo Casino every thirty minutes on weekends in December, between 6 pm and 10 pm, and then daily during the school holidays.

Also not to be missed: the new Christmas festivities for children at New Moods on December 21: Christmas Dream (ages 3-7) and the Christmas Dance Party (ages 8-12).
