Sébastien Ogier had just lifted the Rallye Monte-Carlo trophy for the tenth time this Sunday on the Place du Casino when attention slowly turned to the 27th edition of the Rallye Historique. The objective is to complete the 17 special stages at an average speed communicated beforehand. "For example, if the average is 46.8 km/h, ideally you should drive at this speed all the time," explains Géry Mestre, president of the Classic Cars Commission at the Automobile Club of Monaco (ACM). And contrary to what you might think, regularity is a difficult test. Our competitors prepare for it with great seriousness and professionalism."
