When Artificial Intelligence Comes Aboard the Energy Boat Challenge in Monaco

For its 12th edition, the competition is seeing the creation of a new category dedicated to AI. Its organizer, the Yacht Club, is thus reinforcing its status as an innovator in the yachting sector.

This represents a new direction for the competition, which took its first steps in 2014. For its 12th edition – to be held from July 2 to 5, 2025 – the Energy Boat Challenge will add a category to the three existing ones. Seven years after the Energy Class, this one will be dedicated to artificial intelligence. "In our view, AI is a revolution like the printing press and the internet," argues Bernard D'Alessandri, Secretary and General Manager of the Yacht Club de Monaco. "We see it everywhere, and inevitably, in the yachting sector."
