Mass open to all at the Louis II Stadium, procession in the Popemobile, welcome at the Palace

Extra-large Mass at the Louis II Stadium, welcome at the heliport by the Princely Couple, walk on the Rock, procession through the crowds from the port to the Church of Saint Devote: the program for the Sovereign Pontiff's visit to the Principality of Monaco on March 28 is taking shape.

The day promises to be historic… and eventful! The arrival of Pope Leo XIV in Monaco on March 28 is becoming clearer.

In the very last days of February, the Sovereign Pontiff's emissaries traveled to the Principality to meet with local authorities and assess the program for this apostolic visit. This exchange allowed them to establish the schedule for Saturday, March 28, the details of which are currently being finalized.

According to our information, Leo XIV is expected to arrive in the Principality by air. A helicopter will take him directly from the Vatican to Monaco's heliport, followed by a second aircraft carrying his security detail. This air bridge between the two smallest countries in the world allows the head of the Church to avoid using planes, trains, or roads, and therefore to bypass France, which would have entailed a formal welcome from French authorities to escort him to Monaco.

A message to the crowd from the Prince's Palace and a 21-gun salute

As he steps onto the Monegasque tarmac, the Pope is expected to hear the 21-gun salute. A sign of jubilation and deference to set the tone for the day. The last such salute was fired on December 10, 2014, the birthday of Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella.

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene will be at the heliport to welcome their guest in the best possible way. Leo XIV is then expected to travel from Fontvieille to the Palace by car, with the windows open.
