The National Council inquired on Thursday, through Councillor Corinne Bertani, about the progress of the work announced on the Larvotto seaside resort. Minister of Equipment Céline Caron-Dagioni announced that she is to meet with architect Renzo Piano in Paris this Monday
"The schedule for coastal protection work is being respected," said Céline Caron-Dagioni. The worksite should protect the beach and shops from storms during the winter season. "We will start this winter on the Méridien side, on the first rockfill with eco-design to protect the impacts on marine biodiversity as much as possible. We hope that the weather windows will not be too capricious," explained the minister.
A question of intellectual property
As for the installation of lighting on the lower promenade, to make the site more attractive in the evening, Céline Caron-Dagioni is due to meet today in Paris with the architect Renzo Piano and his teams. The aim: to convince him of the need to change the charter for the use of the site and thus obtain his agreement to install lighting there. "The profession of architect is a profession of design but also an artistic profession," the minister reminds us. "Even contractually, there is respect for intellectual property and this is imposed on us. I am convinced that we will find the right solutions."
