to secure the glacis of the Prince's Palace overlooking the Place d'Armes
The Prince's Government has announced that security work will begin this Thursday, October 3, to secure the glacis of the Prince's Palace on the Condamine district side. The work will take place in several phases and will last until Friday, December 20.
In order to eliminate any risk of rockfall, security work on the glacis of the Prince's Palace will be carried out on the Condamine district side: towards the bottom of the Major ramp, Avenue de la Porte Neuve, Place d'Armes and Boulevard Charles-III.
"A first phase of work will begin on Thursday, October 3 at the bottom of the Major ramp, near the police station, without impacting pedestrian traffic, announced the Prince's government. At the same time, with a view to carrying out the following phases, a temporary protection gallery will be installed on the sidewalk that runs along the rocky slope, between the "Place d'Armes" bus stop located at the bottom of the Major ramp and the one located on Boulevard Charles-III." This installation will be carried out between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m., from October 7 to November 8, with, when necessary, pedestrians being accompanied by a barrier and the presence of a traffic man.
