Comedian and driver Stéphane De Groodt reflects on his participation in the historic Monaco Grand Prix
A former professional driver from 1985 to 2000, Belgian comedian and humorist Stéphane De Groodt took part in this weekend's historic Monaco Grand Prix at the wheel of a 1958 Maserati 250F. We spoke to him after the race, in which he finished 6th.
We left him on cloud nine at the end of free practice on Friday. We found him back in the paddocks, still in his bubble, after a well-executed Sunday race. Comedian Stéphane De Groodt started 9th on the grid thanks to his time from the previous day (2:00.292), and he put a 1958 Maserati 250 F in sixth place for his very first historic Grand Prix.
