Discover Monaco's summer entertainment programme

The programme of events put together by Monaco Town Hall has just been unveiled. The traditional events remain. There are also a few new additions. Here's an overview.

It's going to be another busy summer in Monaco! There will be no shortage of events for families, children and adults alike.
The festivities kick off in June and, for the first time this year, finish in September for some of them. As well as the tried-and-tested staples, the Town Hall and its dedicated departments are offering a number of new events.
Manga Bla Bla and Summer Movies

The media library teams have planned a rich programme of cultural events for young and old alike over the summer. There are two new features. First up is Manga Bla Bla, a session aimed at teenagers, but not just teenagers. It's a chance to discover new manga and talk about them. It will take place at least four times over the summer. The first takes place on 5 July, from 2pm at the Louis-Notari multimedia library, with registration required.
Another new feature is the Cinés d'été, which will take place every Thursday from 2pm and will screen old and new films. The first screening will feature the animated film Your Name, a 2016 Japanese film by Makoto Shinkai, but the public will be able to choose the film for subsequent screenings. Admission is free.
A village at Port Hercule

Summer at Port Hercule is back on the Quai Albert-Ier, with rides and activities aimed at families. For the first time, it will also host a summer village organised by the Historic Sites of Monaco. It will bring together shopkeepers and craftspeople who will be exhibiting and selling their specialities every day from 6pm to 11pm.
Children's evenings relocated

The children's evenings are moving to a new venue. They will be held at the Condamine market and at Monaco-Ville, allée Jean-Paul-II. Three evenings for children aged 3 and over will be held from 6 to 7pm at the Condamine market, on Wednesday 5 July, with a puppet show entitled The Trollutin family and the magic bag; 19 July, with a magic show and the chance to make balloon sculptures; 16 August, with a superhero theme.
On Wednesday 2 August, Monaco-Ville will be hosting a puppet show entitled Le Chaudron magique (The Magic Cauldron). Free admission.
Digital and the environment

The Princess Caroline Library's summer programme includes a new summer-long workshop for 8-10 year-olds on digital technology and the environment. The aim is to raise awareness among youngsters of the impact of digital technology on the environment.
