Was speeding the only cause?

Two days after the fatal road accident that claimed the lives of three men in their thirties in the Louis-II tunnel in Monaco, Monaco's deputy public prosecutor, Morgan Raymond, told Monaco-Matin on Monday that the initial elements of the investigation suggest that the vehicle was travelling at an excessive speed. It remains to be determined who the driver was, while toxicological analyses are underway.

After revealing that the three victims had been identified, subject to confirmation by DNA after the autopsies to be carried out on Wednesday, Monaco's deputy public prosecutor, Morgan Raymond, agreed to speak to Monaco-Matin on Monday about the progress of the investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
The circumstances of the accident have not yet been defined exactly and this is the main focus of the investigation," said Morgan Raymond, Monaco's deputy public prosecutor. At the present stage of the investigation, it seems that excessive speed was the cause, probably not the only cause, of the accident.

The three victims of the accident were travelling in an Audi Q3, but at this stage the public prosecutor's office cannot say with certainty who was driving the SUV.
