Caritas Monaco raises 69,000 euros, the appeal for donations continues

In its last press release, the diocese announced the action of Caritas Monaco and invited all those who wished to help to do so. To date, Caritas Monaco has collected and sent 69,000 euros, including 12,000 euros sent urgently on Monday 28 February.

"These funds are paid to the Caritas Internationalis headquarters in Rome, which forwards them immediately, according to the needs claimed from it. These funds were sent to Caritas Poland, Caritas Romania, Caritas Hungary and, when possible, to Caritas Ukraine, on the spot," the diocese of Monaco said.

"These various Caritas organisations then operate where the most urgent needs are felt: clothing, food, medicines, heating equipment, and help for women, mothers, children, the elderly, the injured and anyone else in need. This support also takes the form of aid to displaced people and people in need, hygiene products, basic necessities, temporary shelters for civilians, assistance at border crossings, first aid, food, etc."

As of Monday, a second envelope of about 75,000 euros should be sent to Caritas internationalis in Rome.
