Kick-off for the Monaco Solar & Energy Boat Challenge

From today until July 6, the Yacht Club hosts the Monaco Solar & Energy Boat Challenge. An annual and unique meeting in the world between students and boating professionals, aiming to bring innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges of the nautical sector.

Kick-off for the 6th Monaco Solar & Energy Boat Challenge! Since 9am this morning, the paddocks located along the marina of the Yacht Club are accessible free entry. The public can discover the boats of the 34 teams, or 300 participants, of this edition. If they will compete eventually in competitions of slalom, duel, endurance and race of speed, this challenge is not an event like the others ... Developed mainly by future engineers and professionals of the shipbuilding, the boats presented are in fact prototypes using only renewable energy sources. The boats are thus grouped into three categories: Offshore, Solar or Energy.
